Dollar trades in upper 109 yen in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 109 yen range early Friday in Tokyo.
At 9 a.m., the dollar traded at 109.78-79 yen against 109.68-78yen in New York and 109.49-51 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The euro was quoted at 1.4773-4778 dollars and 162.19-24 yen against 1.4821-4831 dollars and 162.63-73 yen in New York and 1.4915-4916 dollars and 163.31-35 yen in Tokyo late Thursday.
